Job Summary:
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) Oakland, California. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for pediatric patients within a busy, multidisciplinary surgical environment. The role requires collaboration with various healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for young patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Job Details:
- Location: Oakland, California
- Specialty: Operating Room Pediatrics Only
- Shift: Nights, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 11/17/2026, End Date: 02/16/2027
- Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse License, BSN, BLS and PALS certifications, strong pediatric operating room trauma experience, current trauma level two certification preferred, minimum of 1 year of pediatric OR experience, ability to float to other UCSF facilities and units as needed
- Responsibilities include assisting with pediatric surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments, charting in Epic electronic medical records, and following all safety and clinical protocols
- Experience with pediatric anesthesia, blood and blood products administration, and a variety of surgical procedures is preferred
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Successful candidates must submit two recent references and be available for orientation at 4:00 pm PST on the Monday prior to the start date
