PCU Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a healthcare team to deliver exceptional care to patients with acute medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform IV starts and maintain IV therapy.
- Document all patient interactions and care in the electronic medical record system (Meditech).
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
Work Schedule
- Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
- Weekend rotation required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar nursing role, specifically in a progressive care unit.
- Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
- Experience with Meditech charting system is mandatory.
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Local candidates are accepted within a 60-mile radius.
- Any requests for time off must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment.
Special Requirements
- Block scheduling is limited to 3 or 4 shifts.
- No pending licenses will be accepted.
