Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position available in a healthcare organization. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a PCU setting, focusing on intermediate patient needs with a variety of clinical responsibilities. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing patient care across multiple units as needed.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri or Compact State (Missouri or Compact) nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIH Stroke Scale certification. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit, with skills including accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, feeding tube care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and experience with neuro stepdown, pre/post cardiac catheterization, and sheath removal.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, familiarity with Epic charting system, and community hospital or LTAC experience.
- Additional Information: Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed. The assignment includes 8 weekend shifts over a six-week cycle, and a maximum of 7 days of return to organization (RTO) is permitted at the time of offer. The current schedule begins on 09/21/2026 and concludes on 12/21/2026. All required documentation and compliance modules must be completed prior to start date as specified.
