Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit nurse position for a 12-hour night shift assignment. The role provides care for adult and geriatric patients with progressive care needs, including cardiac, neurological, renal, respiratory, and behavioral health conditions.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Two years of nursing experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; Missouri or compact nursing licensure.
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience.
- Additional Information: Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, medical-surgical and telemetry care, neuro stepdown care, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, sheath removal, port access and management, central line care and management, blood product administration, and feeding tube care and management. Patient populations include adults and geriatric patients with conditions such as sepsis, wound care needs, alcohol-related conditions, suicidal ideation, renal failure, atrial fibrillation, gastrointestinal bleeding, stroke, and COVID-19. Weekend coverage includes a minimum of eight weekend shifts every six weeks, with holiday coverage based on unit needs. Support services include intravenous therapy teams, physical therapy, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
