Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions post-surgery.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery and care plans.
- Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Shift Details
This position is for 10-hour shifts during the daytime, with work scheduled between the hours of 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There will be no on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PACU or Recovery Room setting.
- Experience with Epic electronic health records is required.
- Current Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license is necessary.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Traveler candidates must pass a Telemetry test prior to commencement of employment.
