Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). In this role, you will be responsible for performing patient care functions in accordance with state regulations and established policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia.
- Collaborate effectively with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to safety and regulatory standards as outlined by the State Board of Nursing.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and recovery.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Licenses: Current Maine RN license or compact license is required.
- Certifications:
- BLS certification must be current or obtained within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS certification must be current or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- PALS certification must be current or obtained within one year of hire.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is required; prior PACU experience is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
