Surgical Technologist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will exhibit extensive experience in orthopedic and cataract surgeries and possess proficient knowledge in operating surgical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, instruments, and supplies.
- Scrub in on DaVinci Robotics cases, as well as orthopedic surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Travel between multiple locations, primarily within the region, to support surgical teams as needed.
- Adhere to established protocols to maintain patient safety and quality of care.
- Float to other facilities as required, depending on staffing needs and surgical demand.
- Respond to on-call requirements as scheduled, including weekend shifts and weeknight calls.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA are required.
- Demonstrated experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Strong background in orthopedic and cataract surgical procedures.
- Experience with DaVinci Robotics is necessary; additional spine surgery experience is a plus.
- Previous travel experience is preferred.
- Flu vaccination is required prior to starting the position.
