Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Scrub/Circulator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care during the perioperative period. This role encompasses various responsibilities including scrubbing, circulating, and assisting in the recovery room as needed. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with all members of the perioperative team while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality. A commitment to supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization is essential.
Shift Information
- Days: Monday-Thursday
- Hours: 10-hour shifts
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care during the perioperative phase.
- Assist in scrubbing, circulating, and recovery room tasks as necessary.
- Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maine.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required (may be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- Minimum of 1 year of medical/surgical or perioperative experience.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
