Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care within the surgical department. The role requires coordination with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency throughout various surgical cases.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with varied days off every other week. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotations are required, with a response time of 45 minutes.
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), minimum 2 years of OR experience, and familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Epic OpTime.
- Responsibilities include assisting in general, GYN, urology, orthopedic, and podiatry surgery cases, with an average of 20-25 cases per day. Scrubbing skills are preferred, with flexibility to accommodate both experienced and less experienced candidates.
- Additional information: Floating may be required at times to Ottawa. The unit operates within a trauma level acute care setting, with unit-specific orientation provided onsite.
