Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized perioperative patient care in a hospital setting, managing sterile and non-sterile environments, and coordinating workflow across surgical procedures. The role requires supporting various surgical specialties with a focus on safety, efficiency, and patient advocacy.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; 2+ years of dedicated surgical experience; at least 1 year of recent OR experience required.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The start time may vary depending on cases, with early starts and late ends rotated.
- Responsibilities include managing the sterile and non-sterile environment of the operating room, coordinating patient care and safety throughout the perioperative period, and circulating during surgeries.
- Preferred qualifications include scrub and First assist experience, with the ability to confidently serve as a circulator across multiple surgical specialties such as General, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urological, OB/GYN, Podiatry, ENT, and Plastics.
- Additional requirements include availability for call two days a week as a first or backup, and one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday). No floating or block requirements are included.
- Applicants must submit travel submissions with a permanent home address, and travel must exceed 50 miles from the facility.
