Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Oncology
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a specialty in Medical Surgical Oncology to join our team. Ideal candidates will possess strong clinical skills, be adaptable, and demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Oncology unit.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and intervene as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient information and care delivered in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist in patient and family education to promote understanding of diagnoses and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with preference given to candidates with travel experience.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are required.
- Experience with Epic EMR within the last 18 months is mandatory, and proficiency must be clearly documented.
- Must be willing to float to other Med Surg/Tele units as necessary.
Shift Details:
This position involves night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week, from 18:45 to 07:15. Orientation sessions are held every Monday for new hires.
