Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) nursing opportunity is available at a healthcare organization. This position involves providing specialized neurological intensive care to critically ill patients in a Level I Trauma Center. The role requires a high level of expertise in neuro-critical care and adherence to established clinical protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 12 hours shift time; minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred; active, unencumbered Hawaii registered nurse (RN) license required; current Basic Life Support (BLS) / Healthcare Provider (HCP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required; TNCC, Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (ENLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI, or equivalent) certifications preferred; specialty certifications such as CCRN or TCRN highly desired; must pass EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation; all certifications valid at time of application submission and throughout the contract period; two (2) or more years of full-time staff Registered Nurse experience in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a Level I Trauma Center prior to travel assignment required; experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) highly desired;
  • Additional Information: Previous travelers within the organization highly preferred; flexibility to float to ICU, Stepdown, and Telemetry units based on facility needs; compliance documentation required no later than 10 days prior to start date; requested time off (RTO) not permitted during the initial contract period; a current NURSYS report must be submitted with all applications; non-unit RN staff may be assigned to be a nursing assistant or safety sitter if not needed as an RN on the unit; the position start date is 10/13/2026 and end date is 02/02/2027.
