Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, effectively manage telemetry patients, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and ECG readings.
- Provide patient education on health management and lifestyle changes.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the emergency and critical care of patients as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient recovery.
Shift Information
This position requires the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and days:
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Qualifications
- MUST have at least 12 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing.
- MUST possess an active Ohio RN license or a compact state license.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross are required.
Holiday Requirements
The traveler must be available to work at least every other holiday.
Orientation and Assessments
During orientation, the traveler will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a SafeMedicate assessment, achieving acceptable scores on both to proceed.
