Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
Position Overview
This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry care. The primary responsibilities involve monitoring patients, administering medications, and assisting in various medical procedures within a dynamic medical-surgical and telemetry unit.
Position Information
- Unit: M4 - Pediatric & Adult Medsurg
- Trauma Level: Level 3
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Required every other weekend
- Float Requirements: Yes, to all areas except M3
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- PALS (Preferred)
Qualifications
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years; 3 years of telemetry experience preferred
- Must Have Skills: Telemetry monitoring, post-operative catheter care, cardiac drips titration, management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Stroke, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), A-fib, arrhythmias, cardiac catheterizations/stents

- Number of Beds: 27
- Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
- Equipment: Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitoring systems, defibrillators, EKG machines
- EHR: Omnicell, Epic
- Patient Population: General Medsurg, Pediatrics, Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis
