Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a night shift schedule. This position offers the opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a setting with an average daily census of 40-42 patients.
Contract Details
- Start Date: 11/16/26
- Contract Length: 12 weeks
- Shifts: 3x12 or 4x12 Nights (20:00-08:30)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adults and geriatric patients.
- Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5.
- Assist with daily operations and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as required.
- Float within the specialty and to sister units as needed based on patient acuity.
Qualifications
- 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers are welcome.
- Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification.
Attire
Scrubs should be navy blue in color.
Work Schedule
- Every other weekend is required.
- Holidays are required based on the schedule.
