Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – MedSurg/Tele

Location: 1740 Nicholasville Road, B08, Lexington, KY 40503

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week; weekends and holidays as needed

Hours: 36 hours 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in health status, and promptly report concerns.
• Provide direct patient care, administer medications, and perform nursing treatments within the RN scope of practice.
• Ensure patient safety by identifying risks and implementing appropriate safety measures.
• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, procedures, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor the accuracy and completeness of care provided by team members.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including patient falls prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI prevention, and documentation audits.

Required Qualifications

• ADN or ASN degree required; BSN preferred.
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the applicable state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No minimum years of experience specified.
• Strong patient assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to use computer systems and healthcare applications.
• Knowledge of age-specific patient safety needs and appropriate safety interventions.
