Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Shift & Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week. 48-hour weeks preferred.

Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours; 48 hours preferred.

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Floating required as needed.

Requirements:

• Active South Dakota RN license or compact nursing license in hand.
• BLS certification required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Must be willing to float as needed.
• Flu vaccination documentation required.
• Personal and medical flu declinations are not accepted. Religious exemptions are subject to review by Avera Health.
• Former permanent employees of Avera or Sanford are not eligible.
• Patient ratio: 1:4.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes in clinical status.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and respond to cardiac rhythm changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care using EPIC.
• Float to other units as required.
