Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Start Requirement: Must be able to start within 2 weeks (rapid start)
Unit Details
- Floor: 9th floor
- Unit Beds: 44 beds across two nursing stations/units
- Patient Ratio: 6:1; may increase to 7:1
- Patient Population: Adults, trauma, orthopedics, urology, colorectal, and surgical patients
- EHR: Epic
- Required Experience: Epic, telemetry monitoring, cardiac monitors, cardiac drips, trauma, and ability to manage a 7:1 patient ratio
- Floating: Must be willing to float to units with comparable patient populations
- Call Requirements: None
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; expect to work at least 2 of the 4 weekends
- Required Certifications: No additional certifications specified beyond facility requirements
- Required Testing: Must pass dysrhythmia and dosage-calculation tests through the education department before working on the unit.

Travel Requirements
- Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel consideration.
- Local candidates are not eligible for travel consideration.
Compliance and Background Requirements
All screenings must be completed and cleared before the candidate can start.
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance: Online application required.
- DHS Fingerprinting: Must be completed and uploaded before clearance.
- FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting: Prints completed within the last 2 years are accepted; otherwise, new fingerprints are required.
- PA State Police Clearance (PATCH): Employment clearance required; volunteer clearances are not accepted.
Scheduling and Important Restrictions
- Orientation: Every Monday
- Holiday RTO: No holiday time-off requests are permitted.
- Start Date: Must start within 2 weeks.
- Scrub Color: No designated color; professional appearance required.
- Facial Piercings: Only a single-sided nose stud is permitted. Facial hoops are not allowed.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Strong Epic experience
- Trauma, orthopedic, and surgical nursing experience
- Telemetry and cardiac-drip management experience
- Comfortable with patient ratios up to 7:1
- Flexible, friendly, and willing to float when needed
