Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience
- Experience in OB, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Recovery, or Med/Surg preferred
- Current RN license eligible for practice in Iowa
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work nights and every third weekend
- Flexibility to float between obstetric care and Med/Surg as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery settings
- Support Med/Surg patients when OB census is low
- Monitor patient conditions, document care accurately, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining safety and professionalism
- Adapt quickly to changing unit needs and maintain a positive, team-oriented approach
