Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide care for patients in a medical-surgical environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions regularly.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health issues and care plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in patient care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience is required.
- Active nursing license in Mississippi or a compact license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Preferred: 5+ years of nursing experience.
- Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Work Schedule
This position requires working shifts in a 4x12 schedule one week (48 hours) followed by a 3x12 schedule (36 hours). Specific shift pattern includes:
- 4x12: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
- 3x12: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
No on-call duties are required. Every other weekend is expected, with holiday shifts whenever they fall on scheduled work days.
