Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Ability to read telemetry strips
• Strong clinical judgment in a dynamic acute care hospital environment
• Ability to work within a travel assignment structure

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients
• Assess patient conditions, monitor changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and provider orders
• Interpret and respond to telemetry strips as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
• Educate and support patients and families with compassion and professionalism
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented Med/Surg unit environment
