Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide patient care in a long-term care setting, focusing on assessments, treatments, and medication administration. The RN will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care and effective communication with medical personnel.
Shift Information
Shift scheduling consists of 8-hour shifts, including:
- Days: 0730 - 1530
- Evenings: 1500 - 2330
- Nights: 2300 - 0730
Shifts may include weekends and holidays, with mandatory overtime rotation required. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours or shift preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and administer treatments as prescribed.
- Administer medications and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Notify medical personnel of any pertinent patient information.
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Manage gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, and nebulizer treatments.
- Oversee wound vacuum (wound vac) care and CPAP care.
- Fulfill other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is necessary.
- Active RN license in the State of Hawaii is required prior to the start of the assignment.
