Registered Nurse - Family Birthing Center / Labor & Delivery (L&D RN) – Night Shift
- Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 18:45 – 07:15 | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
- Schedule Structure: 12-hour night shifts (starts at 18:45 with bedside shift report). Extra shifts and OT available.
- Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) required. Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff.
- On-Call / Standby: On-call required ($7.00/hr call rate); strict 30-minute call-back response time requirement.

- Clinical Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]:
- Minimum 2+ years of dedicated Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- Full LDRP Competency: Must be fully comfortable managing high-risk LDRP patients from start to finish (L&D, Postpartum/Mother-Baby couplet care, and Antepartum) [HARDSTOP].
- C-Section Circulating Requirement: Mandatory capability to circulate C-sections in the OB OR suites strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- Clinical proficiency in reading/interpreting maternal EKG strips in PACU and titrating Pitocin continuous drips strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- Mandatory Floating: Must be willing to float to all Sacramento area system facilities [HARDSTOP].
- Employment Separation Policy [HARDSTOP]: Any candidate directly employed (FT, PT, or PRN staff) by any CommonSpirit facility (including CHI and/or Dignity Health) within the past 12 months is strictly ineligible [HARDSTOP]. (Outside agency PRN shifts are permitted).
- State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]: Active California RN License strictly required in-hand at time of submission [HARDSTOP].
- Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
- Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- Active AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred.
- Submission Profile Requirements [HARDSTOP]:
- Copy of valid Driver's License required at submittal to validate legal name [HARDSTOP].
- Two (2) Supervisory References (Charge RN accepted): One (1) from within the past 12 months AND one (1) from within the past 3 years of employment strictly required at submittal [HARDSTOP].
