Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location unspecified. This position involves providing holistic, individualized care to obstetric patients on a Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit. The nurse demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills while adhering to all standards of nursing practice. The role requires independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care under supervision, with a focus on all phases of obstetric care including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecological patients.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 8 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); STABLE certification; must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate; graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; one year minimum of acute care experience as an Registered Nurse; effective communication skills, both written and oral; proficient in computer skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing is highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: The RN is responsible for delivering comprehensive obstetric care, managing supplies and equipment, and fostering teamwork with physicians and hospital staff. The position requires adherence to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The assignment is for a duration from October 5, 2026, to January 4, 2027.
