Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery, maternity nursing, or a related clinical specialty
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license or Multi-State Compact RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Ability to work night shifts and perform effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the direction of a licensed physician
- Use the nursing process to individualize care for patients and families throughout the labor and delivery experience
- Collaborate with physicians, peers, and other members of the healthcare team
- Direct nursing support staff in delivering safe, effective patient care
- Provide attentive, compassionate Labor & Delivery nursing care in a busy maternity setting
- Follow established nursing standards, policies, and procedures
- Support a positive patient experience in a dynamic Philadelphia healthcare environment
