Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position available in an acute care facility located in a scenic small town known for its rich character, arts, vineyards, and natural surroundings. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, while supervising and directing nursing staff. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe, healing, and supportive environment for patients and their families.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, starting at 6:15 PM and ending at 5:45 AM. Minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; 0 years of experience required; valid certification in labor and delivery nursing including NICU experience, intermediate fetal monitoring, and NICU.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN); experience in an acute care facility; labor nursing experience, including post-partum care and Level 2 nursery.
- Additional Information: Experience in labor, postpartum, and Level 2 nursery care preferred. Scrubs are provided if needed, otherwise eggplant-colored scrubs. The facility emphasizes safety and compliance with vaccination requirements; all associates are expected to be vaccinated as a condition of employment.
