Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Department Colorado. The position provides safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care settings. The role requires Labor and Delivery experience and includes training in nursery and recovery services.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; associate degree required and bachelors degree preferred; current Colorado Registered Nurse licensure, with compact licensure accepted and Colorado licensure obtained within 90 days of hire; current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; successful completion of an EKG course; Labor and Delivery experience required; ability to communicate effectively in English; strong communication, organizational, customer service, active listening, computer, and confidentiality skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or inpatient experience preferred; additional languages preferred.
- Schedule: Night shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The position includes training in nursery and recovery services and responsibilities involving antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care; fetal monitoring; advanced cardiac monitoring; newborn care from delivery through discharge; rapid sequence intubation; epidural and critical drip management; induction; trauma response; ventilator and bilevel positive airway pressure support; hearing screening; preterm care; infant security; critical congenital heart disease screening; and phototherapy. Responsibilities include developing and updating patient care plans, administering medications, monitoring patient status, documenting care, supporting resuscitation activities, collaborating with the healthcare team, supervising nonprofessional staff, and maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and infection-control standards. The assignment is scheduled from 12/07/2026 through 03/08/2027.
