# Travel RN – Interventional Radiology | Missouri
**13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 40 Guaranteed Hours | Quick Start**

### Position Details
* **Location:** Columbia, Missouri
* **Contract:** 13 weeks
* **Shift:** Days, Monday–Friday
* **Schedule:** Day shift + rotating call
* **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours/week
* **Call:** Required — rotating M–F 4:30 PM–7:30 AM and weekends 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
* **Holiday Coverage:** Required
* **EMR:** Meditech

### Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments before, during, and after procedures
* Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation and recognize potential complications
* Provide nursing care for interventional radiology and CT procedures
* Assist with neurovascular interventions, including stroke procedures
* Prepare patients for invasive and non-invasive procedures
* Administer medications such as Versed, Fentanyl, antibiotics, Lidocaine, and Nitroglycerin as ordered
* Manage IVs, vascular access devices, PICC lines, and central lines
* Perform patient monitoring and tele interpretation during procedures
* Provide procedural sedation while maintaining patient safety
* Assist with cardioversion and defibrillation when required
* Circulate during procedures and coordinate care with physicians and radiology teams
* Educate patients and families regarding procedures and address questions or concerns
* Follow radiation safety practices and department protocols
* Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
* Make critical decisions and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition

### Common Procedures
* Port placements and removals
* Tunneled and non-tunneled line placements/removals
* CT-guided liver, lung, bone, renal, and lymph node biopsies
* Chest tube and CT-guided drain placements
* IVC filter placements/removals
* Nephrostomy tube procedures
* Neurovascular stroke interventions
* Sedation for MRI procedures
* Port access/deaccess
* MRI defibrillator and cardiac device monitoring
* Occasional chemoembolization and uterine artery embolization procedures

### Requirements
* **Current, active Missouri RN license or compact RN license**
* **Minimum 3 years of nursing experience**
* **3+ years of Neuro experience **
* Current **BLS/BCLS certification**
* Strong **Interventional Radiology** experience preferred
* Experience with **procedural sedation**
* IV insertion and vascular device management experience required
* PICC/Central Line management experience required
* Telemetry interpretation experience required
* Cardioversion/defibrillation experience required
* Circulating experience required
* Must be comfortable with rotating call, weekends, and holidays
* Strong critical-thinking, communication, and multitasking skills

### Additional Information
* **1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio** for procedural sedation
* No Propofol drips or pressors managed by Radiology Nurses
* **$5/hr pager rate** for on-call coverage
* **2-hour minimum** for call-back
* Call-back and holiday hours paid at an additional rate
* Facility may downstaff travelers during the contract
