ICU RN, Moreno Valley, CA
Position Summary:
Travel ICU RN needed for a Days assignment in Moreno Valley, CA, with 5 openings. The traveler will float to ICU, ED and PACU to care for ICU patients, and will also care for full IMC patients in other units. Recent acute-care ICU experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan and provide nursing care to assigned patients within the full scope of the Nurse Practice Act, following physician instructions
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications, and chart treatment and significant changes in patient condition
- Assist physicians with treatments, diagnostic tests and procedures
- Counsel and instruct patients and families on medical problems and proper healthcare methods
- Float to ICU, ED and PACU to care for ICU patients, and care for full IMC patients on other units
- May act as team leader or relief charge nurse, and may orient and train new staff and students
- May triage patients and take part in quality assurance reviews and committees
Requirements:
- Current California RN license
- BLS and ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS certification (AHA, Blue Cloud-National Stroke Association, or Apex)
- Conscious sedation experience
- 5 years of recent ICU RN experience in an acute care facility
- CCRN highly preferred
- 1 year of travel experience highly preferred
Shift: 4x12 Days (48 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 11/16/2026
