ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a travel position. This is an opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment, floating between sister ICUs as needed.
Position Details
- Floating between Units: Yes
- Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
- Block Scheduling: No
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Work Hours: 48 hours approved
Responsibilities
The ICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients, monitoring patient status, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role includes:
- Providing direct patient care in the ICU setting
- Monitoring and interpreting patient vital signs
- Administering IV medications and treatments as prescribed
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families about care plans
- Participating in shifts and adapt to float among different ICUs
Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year of ICU experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to float to sister ICUs as required
Department Uniform/Dress Code
The dress code for licensed nursing personnel requires solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire. Print tops are not permitted, with specific exceptions for licensed staff in designated pediatric areas. Unlicensed personnel should wear solid hunter green uniforms. Please ensure compliance with dress code standards.
