Job Summary
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not Specified. This role involves coordinating nursing care for critically ill adult patients within the intensive care unit. The position requires delivering direct patient care, providing patient and family education, and supporting transitions of care across a 13-week assignment.
Job Details
- Certifications: Current RN license by applicable state requirements; Basic Life Support (BLS) competency; ACLS preferred.
- Education Requirements: Minimum of graduation from an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program; if not accredited, at least one year of recent RN experience in an applicable care setting.
- Location Requirements: Position available for applicants meeting state licensing requirements.
- Years of Experience: 2 years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience required, with at least 6 months of recent travel experience; 1 year of recent travel experience preferred.
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, including day/night rotation and every 3rd weekend.
- Additional Information: The RN supports professional practice across care settings, engages in leadership activities such as mentoring, and participates in quality improvement efforts. Candidates with experience in ventricle assist devices (VAD), Impella, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), balloon pumps, and previous Epic charting are preferred. Experience with CRRT and transplant is a plus.
