Travel ICU Registered Nurse – Lubbock, TX | Up to $2,345/Week | Nights
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a reputable acute care hospital in Lubbock, Texas.
Position Overview
The ICU Registered Nurse will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma hospital. Responsibilities include continuous patient monitoring, ventilator management, administering and titrating critical care medications, recognizing changes in patient conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
The ideal candidate has experience managing patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, renal disorders, and complex medical conditions. Nurses must be comfortable floating between sister ICU units as needed.
Assignment Details
Location: Lubbock, TX
Weekly Pay: Up to $2,345.00
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3×12 hours (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
Hours: 36 per week
Weekend Requirement: Minimum 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
Floating: Required to sister ICU units
On-Call: None
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of ICU RN experience
Previous travel nursing experience required
Active Texas or eligible compact RN license in hand at submission
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
Epic charting experience
Experience with ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and critical care medications
Ability to titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips
Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and management of critically ill patients
Unit Highlights
16-bed Intensive Care Unit
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
Adult and geriatric patient population
Level II Trauma hospital
CRRT equipment includes Prismaflex and Prismax
Self-scheduling based on unit needs
Floating to SICU, CICU, and NSICU as needed
