Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Job Summary (List Format):
- Position: Registered Nurse (ICU, with potential to float to CVICU)
- Location: McLaren Macomb, Mount Clemens, MI
- Facility: 288-bed acute care hospital, Level II trauma, accredited chest pain center
- Schedule: Full-time contract; must adhere to strict 3-strike attendance policy
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients
- Plan and implement nursing care tailored to patient and family needs
- Make appropriate nursing interventions per individual patient requirements
- Evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjust care as needed
- Maintain quality patient care, patient satisfaction, professional development, and a safe environment
- Collaborate with healthcare team and delegate tasks to support patient/family-centered care
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience (Required)
- Completion of at least 1 travel assignment (Required)
- ICU experience required; ability to float to CVICU preferred
- ACLS certification (AHA) required (copy must be submitted)
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Active Michigan RN license required at time of submission (provide LARA and Nursys verification)
Other Submission Details:
- A skills checklist (within 1 year for RN specialties) required
- Full-time McLaren employees not eligible for contract within 6 months of employment
- Physical copies of certifications only needed if specifically listed
Working Conditions:
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
- EMR: Cerner
- ICU nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 (based on acuity); Step Down: 1:3
- Nonbillable hours: 12 hours initially if bill rate >$40/hr
- Overtime/holiday/call back: 1.1x regular rate
- Local traveler policy: 10% rate reduction for those within 35 miles
Process:
- Rapid interview process: candidates contacted within 2 hours, decisions typically made same or next business day
- Not eligible for expedited process if seeking >7 days off, >50% holidays off, or with negative background/employment history
