Travel RN – ICU Job Summary

Position: RN – ICU (Multiple ICU Units) Facility: Baptist Health Location: Montgomery, Alabama Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights) Schedule: 36/48 hours Contract: 13 weeks (as listed; confirm contract duration) Guaranteed Hours: 36/48 hours 

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience and Cerner or Epic experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• ICU patient ratio: 1:2.
• Every other weekend; occasional back-to-back weekends.
• No on-call requirement.
• One major and one minor seasonal holiday may be required.
• RTO requires approval; blackout dates apply.

Required Clinical Skills

• Ventilator and tracheostomy management.
• Arterial lines and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Medication titration, including vasopressors and sedation.
• Central lines and chest tubes.
• IABP, Impella, and EKOS experience for applicable cardiac units.
• CRRT (PrismaFlex), preferred for Surgical ICU.
• Swan-Ganz catheter and FloTrac monitoring for applicable units.
• ECMO experience for CVICU.
• EVD and ICP monitoring for Neuro ICU; ICP monitoring can be taught.
