Job Description

We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team. This position involves working with admitted patients and performing a vital role in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights.
• Document and communicate clinical findings accurately.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to Adult PCUs, ED Holding, and Trauma based on staffing needs, with optional floating to Pediatric ED.

Shift Requirements

• Positions available: 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Must be available to work on weekends as needed.
• Mid shifts typically from 15:00 to 03:30.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required; 1.5 years may be considered with a strong background in Level 1 Trauma.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC are required.
• No local candidates within 100 miles will be accepted.
• Pending state licenses are acceptable at the time of submission.
• Travel experience is highly preferred; candidates with 2+ years of Level 1 experience may also be considered.

Additional Information

• Current trends indicate an increase in admit holds within the facility.
• Floating policies may apply according to facility needs.
• No on-call requirements for this position.
• Guaranteed hours based on contracted agreements (36, 48, or 40 hours per week). Facility reserves the right to call off shifts a maximum of three times throughout a 13-week assignment.
• All travelers must comply with license and certification requirements prior to starting.

This position is set in a Level I Trauma emergency department, providing care to a diverse patient population in a teaching and acute care environment.
