Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a Level I Trauma Center with pediatric certification and comprehensive stroke care. This role involves providing urgent and high-acuity care in a fast-paced, high-demand emergency department, requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to respond effectively to trauma and critical patient needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to submit; certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC; minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience; must meet radius rule of 50 miles from the facility; driver's license required; recent experience at a Level I or Level II trauma center.
- Preferred Qualifications: NRP certification is preferred.
- Float: Float to the OBS unit and Freestanding Creighton ER at least once a week.
- Additional Information: Fast-paced environment with high acuity patient care, including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, strokes with TPA administration, and common trauma drips. RN's are required to read and interpret their own patient strips. Orientation includes 1 week of onboarding, two shifts at Bergan, and 1 shift at UC. RTO requests must be made upfront for 7 days or less within the 13-week contract. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per assignment.
