Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Job Summary (List Format):
- Provide routine and complex nursing care independently to high-acuity patients, including those with strokes, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, sepsis, and occasional trauma.
- Practice on a very high acuity unit with a 4:1 nurse/patient ratio.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided using Epic EMR.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, care, and resources.
- Delegate and assign tasks appropriately to manage clinical situations.
- Work NIGHT shifts (7PM - 7AM), full-time, with every other weekend required; no on-call or floating.
- Maintain professional standards per OneCHRISTUS competencies and ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
- Adhere to dress code: ceil blue scrubs.
- Attend New Nurse Orientation and complete all required competency validations.
- Work under 24/7 onsite security.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
- Must have active RN License in state of employment or compact.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all via AHA), and De-Escalation certification.
- Participation in residency/orientation and completion of ongoing competency requirements.
- No on-call or floating assignments.
Med Ninjas Job ID #19973. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
