Shift Information
This position requires a commitment to night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. There may be occasional shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM as needed. Candidates should be prepared to provide coverage up to every other weekend and on holidays as necessary.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. This role will involve providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population across all age groups. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage special care populations including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in an emergency setting.
- Work collaboratively with medical staff to assess and treat patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in departmental protocols and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting is required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system is a must.
- Previous experience in facilities handling STEMI and Stroke cases is required.
Specialty Services
The Emergency Room offers comprehensive care with specialties that include a cath lab, women’s health, and stroke care. Candidates should be prepared to work with a broad range of medical cases and conditions.
