Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a coastal region. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department, following established standards and the nursing process. The position includes supervising and directing nursing staff at various levels, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing patient education and discharge planning. The role is represented by UFCW.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, from 07:00 to 19:30, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; two or more years of experience in an acute care facility preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Emergency Department (ER) specialty certification preferred; ACLS certification from approved vendor required; EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency or trauma care, strong communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Essential Functions: Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessment information, develops and implements care plans, evaluates patient progress, collaborates with healthcare team and patients families, provides patient education, participates in discharge planning, delegates duties appropriately, and performs other job-related duties
- Additional Information: This position is located in a scenic coastal area, offering opportunities for outdoor recreation and community engagement. The assignment begins on 10/12/2026 and concludes on 01/10/2027.
