Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary
Looking for a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This position requires expertise in circulating cardiovascular cases and the ability to adapt to various surgical environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a busy operating room setting and will be ready to provide quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Circulate cardiovascular surgeries independently in the operating room.
- Assist with cases from other specialties as needed when CV cases are not scheduled.
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficiency and safety during procedures.
- Participate in off-site call as required, with in-house support during on-call hours.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state.
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (both AHA).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room settings.
- Experience in large hospital or Level 1 trauma centers; familiarity with Epic (Optime) is preferred.
Additional Information
- Shift Length: 10-hour days with rotating call.
- Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:1 in the operating room.
- Department consists of 25 operating rooms.
- Orientation will be coordinated by the OR educator upon arrival.
- Scrub color: Ceil Blue (provided).
