Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.

Job Summary (List Format):
- Interview process includes quick phone call/text from a 405 area code.
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility (based on driver’s license); no local candidates allowed.
- Previous UPH FTE or PRN staff (including float pool) cannot work as travelers at UPH within 12 months; travel-only staff are exempt from this policy.
- Contractors are required to work 1–2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays (unless unit is closed).
- NBO: 16 hours.
- EMR system: EPIC.
- Overtime/Holiday Pay: 1.15x multiplier.
- Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2-hour minimum.
- On Call Rate: $9/hour.
- Charge/Precepting: $6/hour.
- OT billing after 40 hours/week for 36-40 hour contracts; after 48 hours/week for 48-hour contracts.
- Floating required across all Des Moines campuses to like units.
- Orientation date options: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30, 12/7.
- Required experience:
- Minimum 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
- Circulating and monitoring experience.
- Trauma Level II experience.
- Highly preferred experience:
- Structural heart experience.
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience.
- Travel experience.
- Preferred experience:
- Trauma Level I experience.
- Scrubbing experience.
- Must be willing to float between campuses as needed.
- May be required to precept as needed.
- Submission profile must include:
- Updated work history/resume with 24 months of current Cardiac Cath/CCL experience.
- Discipline-specific skills checklist (Cardiac Cath Lab).
- Active Iowa (IA) or compact/multistate RN license at submission.
- Professional reference/check from charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO, preferably within 24 months.
- Copy of driver’s license.
- AHA or ARC ACLS certification.
- AHA or ARC BLS certification.
- Iowa state RN license required (compact allowed).
Med Ninjas Job ID #19268. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
