Cardiovascular Technologist
Job Overview
This position involves performing cardiovascular diagnostic tests and procedures while ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. The successful candidate will work with a collaborative team to deliver exceptional services to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cardiovascular tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Read and interpret cardiac strips.
- Maintain and manage equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide quality patient care.
- Participate in educational activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, must be from American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to effectively read and interpret ECG strips.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Weekend coverage will be managed through an on-call system, with on-call duties occurring every third week and weekend. A response time of 30 minutes is expected during on-call hours.
Additional Information
- Typical caseload: 8 cases.
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system used: EPIC, Maclab.
- Scrubs will be provided in maroon color.
- Orientation on the floor will last for one week.
