Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work four ten-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 5 pm, providing care in our single Cath Lab procedure room along with a pre/post procedure area.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Cath Lab procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Assume responsibility for pre-operative and post-operative care in the designated areas.
- Provide coverage for STEMI procedures on weekends as needed.
- Be available for on-call duties for post PCI patients requiring return to the Cath Lab.
Team Structure
The Cath Lab team comprises three full-time nurses supported by two registered nurses in the pre/post procedure area. The Cath Lab features four patient bays dedicated to pre and post-procedure care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab nursing required.
- Current South Carolina nursing license or Compact license required prior to start.
- Must hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency, as it is not supplied by the facility.
Work Environment
This is an acute care setting with a total of 286 staffed beds. The team utilizes Epic for charting and provides scrubs for staff.
Additional Information
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are acceptable on a case-by-case basis.
- Block scheduling requests may be accommodated with manager approval, dependent on unit needs.
- Approval for time-off requests must be communicated at the time of submission.
- The facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks as necessary.
