- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
- Case Volume: Approximately 5-15 cases per day
- Orientation: Travelers must start on one of the scheduled orientation dates
Job Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school preferred
- At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred; cath lab or cardiac care experience a plus
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
- ASLS certification preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a busy cardiovascular and clinical support environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the cardiac cath lab
- Administer medications, collect specimens, and support clinical treatments
- Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the care team
- Document care accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective cardiac care
- Educate patients and families based on individual needs and circumstances
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of each patient
