Travel RN: Neurosurgical Unit / Step-Down (Rotating D/E/N)
Shift: Rotating D/E/N, 36 or 48 hours per week
Weekend/Holiday: Weekends, holidays, on call, callback and charge per unit needs

About the Role
Care for a diverse patient population on a neurosurgical unit, working with multidisciplinary teams specializing in brain tumors, spinal malformations, neuroendovascular and epilepsy surgery. This is a mixed-acuity unit with floor-level care and an 8-bed high-acuity step-down unit for patients who need hemodynamic and neurological monitoring.

Requirements

• Active NY RN license (NY only)
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Step-down/PCU experience (must have)
• High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience
• Telemetry experience
• NIHSS
• BLS
• ACLS preferred

SM Ideal candidates have experience with: -Q1 neuro checks -EVDs, lumbar drains and subdural drains -3% NS and Cardene drips -Arterial lines -Carotid endarterectomy -Aneurysm coiling/clips -DBS (Deep Brain Stimulator) insertion -VP shunts -Seizure management
