Job Summary
Nurse, Medical-Surgical With Telemetry Sioux City. This travel assignment supports patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a Level 3 trauma setting. The role requires strong telemetry assessment skills, experience managing specified cardiac and pain-management infusions, and active nursing credentials.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule includes every other weekend, no on-call coverage, and an assignment period from 11/23/2026 through 02/22/2027.
- Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience.
- Active Iowa or compact nursing license.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.
- Experience with heparin, patient-controlled analgesia, epidurals, Cardizem, nitroglycerin, and amiodarone infusions.
- Ability to read and measure telemetry strips.
- Valid drivers license.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are preferred.
- First-time travelers may be considered.
- Additional Information:
- The role contributes clinical knowledge and skills to the provision and management of patient care within an interdisciplinary team.
- Two of three winter holidays may be required, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Years Day.
- Care may be provided in a Level 3 trauma setting.
