Maximum Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN for Cook County Health’s General Medicine/Telemetry Unit 7W in Chicago.
**Assignment Details**
- **Location:** 1969 W. Ogden Ave., Chicago, IL 60612
- **Start date:** November 10, 2026
- **Duration:** 13 weeks
- **Schedule:** Nights, 3 × 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- **Contracted hours:** 36 guaranteed hours per week, subject to assignment terms
- **Weekends:** Every other weekend

**Travel Pay Package**
- Taxable pay: **$28/hour**
- Weekly taxable wages: **$1,008**
- Weekly lodging allowance: **$770**
- Weekly meals and incidentals allowance: **$476**

Package is based on 36 paid hours and seven qualifying travel days. Stipend eligibility requires verification of tax-home and travel circumstances. Partial weeks, travel days, and orientation schedules may affect weekly totals. Local applicants are welcome; a separate taxable pay package applies.
**Requirements**
- Active Illinois RN license in hand at submission; pending licenses are not accepted
- At least two years of recent acute-care Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Cerner experience
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral IV care
- Dysrhythmia interpretation/management and tracheostomy care preferred
**Floating and Scheduling**
Floating is mandatory and frequent. There is no guaranteed home unit. Nurses may float mid-shift or to another Cook County Health facility within 50 miles, with notification as little as two hours before the shift. Team-based support is provided when assigned outside the nurse’s primary competency. Refusal to float may result in assignment cancellation.
Block scheduling and special scheduling requests are not available.
All requested time off must be disclosed at submission. Maximum five days, with no more than two consecutive days. No weekend, holiday, or day-before/day-after-holiday time off is permitted.
**Onboarding**
- Two professional references from separate recent employers, including the most recent employer
- Required lab work completed within 72 hours of assignment acceptance
- Compliance documents due by close of business Monday of the week before orientation
- Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions considered
- COVID-19 vaccination not required
- Returning clinicians must complete full recredentialing and orientation
- International candidates must have an issued Social Security number/card before submission
