Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide care for acute-care patients in a general medicine and telemetry unit. The RN must be comfortable floating to other units or areas as directed by facility needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical and telemetry setting.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer oxygen and provide non-invasive respiratory support.
- Perform peripheral IV care and management.
- Follow isolation precautions and infection-control procedures.
- Participate in rapid response and code team activities.
- Float to other units or departments as assigned, including possible mid-shift floating.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute-care Medical-Surgical experience.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Cerner charting experience required.
- Travel experience is not required.
- Pending licenses are not accepted.
- Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias is preferred.
- Tracheostomy care and management experience preferred.
