Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Floor Sioux City, Iowa. The healthcare provider is seeking a traveler to contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team caring for patients with orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical needs. The role requires experience in medical-surgical and/or oncology care, with day shifts and weekend participation.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; weekend coverage is required every third weekend.
- Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of medical-surgical and/or oncology experience
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; American Heart Association (AHA) certification is preferred, with American Red Cross or U.S. military certification also accepted
- Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; American Heart Association (AHA) certification is preferred, with American Red Cross or U.S. military certification also accepted
- Active National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, which may be completed during onboarding
- Iowa state license
- Valid drivers license
- Experience administering heparin, patient-controlled analgesia, and epidural infusions
- Preferred Qualifications:
- High-acuity care experience
- Prior travel experience
- Additional Information:
- Patient populations and procedures include orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical care.
- Chemotherapy administration may be included for appropriately certified clinicians.
- Navy blue scrubs are required.
- Holiday participation may include two of three holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.
- Orientation dates are 11/23/2026, 12/07/2026, and 12/21/2026.
