Medical Surgical Floor Nurse MS Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting. The position requires assessments, care planning, implementation, and documentation in accordance with organizational standards and professional nursing practice.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Must possess a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired. Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is preferred.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The position assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge needs. Responsible for forming a plan of care, including discharge planning, and implementing it through direct patient care, delegation, and supervision. Evaluates patient and family responses to care, documents thoroughly, and participates in professional development activities. May supervise staff and work flow, interacting with various healthcare professionals, patients, and families to support optimal health outcomes.
