Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Georgia
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Flexible scheduling required with 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required; 6:1 patient ratio across all shifts; floating within facility and scope of practice as needed; no call required
Highlights:
- Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit with a 20-bed capacity serving adult and geriatric patient populations
- Case mix includes general medical-surgical patients, peritoneal dialysis, and radial band recovery (no PCI procedures)
- Epic charting system preferred; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- First-time travelers accepted; orientation provided with flexible contract lengths
- Unit-based telemetry monitoring with remote monitoring capabilities available
- Maximum 7 days of time off may be requested and must be finalized at time of submission
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; CPI and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with 6:1 patient ratios preferred
- Proficiency in central line blood draws, IV starts and maintenance, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, PICC line management, and pre/post hemodialysis management required
- Full compliance documentation required prior to start date; all compliance items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
